YTL Power Services is currently compliant to the PAS 99 Integrated Management System (IMS). Under the IMS, YTLPS has unified all its management systems, namely, ISO 9001:2008 certified Quality Management System, ISO 14001:2004 certified Environmental Management System, OHSAS 18001:2007 certified Occupational Safety & Health Management System and ISO
27001:2005 certified Information Security Management System.
IMS ensures that the company is managed with unified objectives and minimises duplication of policies and procedures across the organisation. Through the IMS, marked improvements are expected in the utilisation of company resources, management of business risks and communication of policies, objectives, procedures and plans.
The Paka Station Laboratory Testing Operations are designed to meet MS ISO/IEC 17025: “General Requirements for the Competence of Calibration and Testing Laboratories” which consist of standard criteria on technical requirements for testing control. In February 2009, the company was accredited for an extension of scope under ISO 17025. The scope now includes the possibility to carry out dielectric strength testing for oil at site. Previously, the accreditation was confined to the laboratory only.
