YTL is managing an operations and maintenance portfolio of 6,500 MW in Malaysia, Singapore, Indonesia and Lebanon. With more than fifteen years of experience in combined cycle power stations and coal-fired power stations, the management ensures excellent delivery, highest availability and reliability figures, all with a minimum workforce. The portfolio also includes liquid fuel and orimulsion.
The YTL power stations have surpassed the expectations of OEM in terms of
efficiency, consistency of operation, condition of the turbines and minimal
number of incidents. Additionally, many improvements to the O&M strategy
have been implemented. As a result, the gas turbines and steam turbines in
the Malaysian power plants have run for more than 100,000 Equivalent
Operating Hours, and have shown little signs of deterioration. This is the
result of Reliability Centred Maintenance (RCM) strategy and successful implementation of Work Improvement Team (WIT) projects.
